PDF Snake Server is a stand-alone implementation of the very popular PDF Snake plug-in for Adobe Acrobat. It can do N-up, make booklets, stamp documents, and can even process hundreds of documents with a single command. Functionality can be automated by using Visual Basic or hot folders.

Major Features in Depth

One-Step Impose. PDF Snake's main imposition tool. It lets you quickly specify an imposition layout, in one straight-forward dialog. Notice the Remember these settings as box. This is the key to one-step imposition. Set all the parameters once, give them a name, and instantly recall them anytime in the future. One-step, no hassle, time saved.

One-Step Booklet. Takes any document, re-orders the pages, and performs imposition so the resulting document can be printed and stapled down the middle to make a booklet.

One-Step Watermark. A watermark is a faint background image that appears under the content of a document. PDF Snake's One-Step Watermark feature will let you use any other page as a watermark, and slide it under the contents of the document. It handles scaling and rotation for you, so that watermarking is one easy step.

One-Step Stamp. One-Step Stamp feature stamps the selected page range in the current document with the first page from any other document. It performs any necessary scaling too.

Batch Process. PDF Snake's Batch Process tool allows you to run any of PDF Snake's other tools on multiple documents at once.

Automate with Visual Basic. PDF Snake Server is the only PDF tool which allows you to control every detail of imposing, stamping, and more with Visual Basic. The evaluation version comes with complete documentation and a Visual Basic example, showing exactly how to call PDF Snake from VB.

Automate with Hot Folders. PDF Snake Server has an easy-to-use hot folder manager. It lets you process files automatically when they are dropped into the hot folder. PDF Snake does not just check the hot folder every few minutes; it sets up a Windows event so that it uses 0% CPU when the hot folders are empty.

Integrate with your Variable Data Workflow. Using PDF Forms to do variable data? Only PDF Snake Server can impose and preserve these forms. The plug-in can't.

Extend PDF Snake Server. In addition to providing all the features of the PDF Snake plug-in, PDF Snake server also provides a COS-level API in a very high-level language, Python. All the Python source is installed with the free trial, so that you can modify PDF Snake to do things we never imagined!
