That said, successive versions of PDF and Acrobat have been increasingly designed with the concept of an electronic final format in mind. PDF documents are faithful to printed originals; they are eForms that can be filled and submitted without ever licking a stamp, and they are secure delivery mechanisms for rich media, software or source files. OK, so you're sold on the idea of PDF as a final form. Your source document has been painstakingly designed and the layout is so sharp you could cut yourself. What's missing? Interactivity! Bookmarks and hyperlinks allow users to jump directly to relevant hotspots, and form fields let clients fill out and submit those all-important order forms. Bookmarks and links can be created and manipulated from within the Acrobat interface, but what about if you need to do more?
